Covid-19 Safe Working Practices

Estate agencies in London have the permission for their offices to be open. Agents are allowed to conduct viewings and sellers and buyers are allowed to move house.

Some of the main points are as follows:

• People can put their property on the market to sell or rent.
• Sellers are free to make or accept an offer.
• Physical viewings are allowed, provided that strict social distancing is maintained
• Estate agents can visit properties to value, provided that strict social distancing is maintained

Metropole Properties will be following all the government guidelines to ensure the safety of our clients, staff and anyone else that we come into contact with while conducting our business.

We will be asking everyone to follow our strict procedures which include – not limited to - the following:

Viewings

• We will continue to offer video viewings as first option when possible.
• We are unable to offer transport. Clients and applicants are requested to make their own way to the property.
• Clients and applicants will be asked to wear a mask, to remove their shoes and apply hand sanitiser before entering a property.
• Clients and applicants will be asked not to touch anything while in the property. Anything they touch will need to be wiped down.
• The occupier of the property will be asked to ensure that internal doors are left open.

Market Appraisals

We will offer to value the property without physically entering them.

If we do visit a property for valuation purposes, we will remove our shoes and wear facemasks and gloves throughout the appointment and we will ensure to maintain a two metre distance.

We will not touch anything in the property unless necessary.

Visiting Our Office

Our office is open, although some staff may continue to work from home when possible.

If you need to come into our office, you must wear mask, use the hand sanitiser before entering and maintain two meter distance.
